Both in life and music, Moira walks a line of stubborn determination and perpetual adaptation. Though she is incurably independent, her sound exposes her many influences. From Stevie Wonder and Ella Fitzgerald to Blake Mills and Sigur Ros. Her jazz-infused, neo soul songs are the product of this varied musical education.

As a songwriter, Moira finds her confidence in self-deprecation and biting honesty. Her lyrics are loose lipped explorations into the uncomfortable. She frequently exposes secrets in her songs that would otherwise be guarded by sobriety. Her constant need to unsettle is carried through her artistry and intentional or not, she never gives the same performance twice.

After graduating from the University of Southern California with a degree in Popular Music Performance, Moira began working as a vocalist in Los Angeles. In those five years, Moira has worked extensively as a session singer and performer. She has also toured internationally as a background vocalist and featured singer on multiple tours with Wyclef Jean of the Fugees. She has shared bills with many iconic musicians including James Blake, Ellie Goulding, Judith Hill, and Cory Henry.

Moira continues to live in Los Angeles where she strives to maintain a balance of independent music creation, collaboration and lending her voice to others’ projects, the combination of which has fulfilled the dream she’s had since she was a child: to sing!
